Onboard Store and Seasonal Menus: Your New Flight Experience with Iberia

27/08/2025

We often say it, but it bears repeating: a trip—especially a leisure trip—doesn’t start when you arrive at your destination, but when you depart on your chosen mode of transport. That’s why, among other things, at Iberia we work to make the flight experience as enjoyable as possible. In addition to our in-flight entertainment offerings, Iberia adds new features so that every passenger can enjoy their journey from the moment the plane takes off—among them, delicious menus specifically designed for this season and our new onboard store.

Summer Menus: Renewal, Quality, and a Commitment to the Mediterranean Diet

Our summer menus have been completely revamped (appetizers, main courses, and desserts) while maintaining the essence of our philosophy: high-quality ingredients and careful attention to the macronutrient balance offered by the Mediterranean diet. In summer, the dishes offered onboard are lighter but just as nutritious and flavorful, combining culinary tradition with innovation.

Options for Business, Premium Economy, and Economy

The summer menu offerings (created, as always, by our partners DO&CO) are currently available for Business Class passengers, as well as for those traveling in Premium Economy or Economy on flights longer than four and a half hours.

Appetizers. Among the summer options, here are three examples: smoked salmon with lemon pepper sauce and an endive, cherry tomato, and dill salad; burrata with tomato sobrasada, roasted red pepper, and spiced pumpkin, accompanied by tapenade and rosemary focaccia; and Iberian pork shoulder marinated in melon sauce, served with sun-dried tomatoes and toasted almonds.

Main Courses. Main course selections include grilled beef tenderloin with green pepper sauce, potato gratin, sautéed broccolini, and piquillo peppers; baked hake with sautéed kale, served over a saffron potato stew; and homemade goat cheese–filled pasta in piquillo pepper sauce, seasoned with fresh thyme.

Desserts. The desserts have also been updated and include a pavlova with seasonal fresh fruit and mascarpone cream, artisanal rice pudding ice cream served with cookie crisps and puffed rice tuile, and chocolate truffle cake.

Short- and Medium-Haul Options, Gastrobar, and Premium Lounge

Business Class passengers on short- and medium-haul flights also have additional dishes available. Examples include a tomato and piquillo pepper tartare marinated with cucumber and served with avocado-jalapeño cream as an appetizer, and main courses such as sautéed prawns with a hint of garlic, accompanied by black rice and roasted zucchini.

Our gastrobar menu includes everything from refreshing cocktails perfect for warm weather to dishes like pastrami bagels, caprese coca, lasagna, meal-and-drink combos, and sweets (hazelnut cookies, caramel popcorn), as well as hot and cold beverages such as tea and coffee. In the Premium Lounge at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport, we’ve also added light and fresh offerings, including salmorejo or vichyssoise, seasonal fruits, and cold and hot appetizers.

Check Your Iberia Menu and Choose Yours

To make your flight experience more convenient and enjoyable, Iberia allows you to view the menu by simply entering your flight number, date, and class of travel. If you choose Economy or Premium Economy and your flight is under four and a half hours, you can pre-order your menu in advance.

Special Meals

Passengers who prefer an alternative menu can request special meals (such as vegan options) at least 24 hours in advance. However, if you have a food allergy, it’s best to bring your own meal, as we cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergen traces.

Iberia Onboard Store: Your Duty-Free in the Sky

Another exciting addition at Iberia is our onboard store, where passengers can purchase duty-free items on all long-haul flights. From a gift for someone waiting at your destination to a travel gadget, here’s a glimpse of what you can find:

High-End Skincare. Creams, lotions, and other skincare products from top brands.
